With Rosie, that means calming an overloaded nervous system, building real rest into your week, and working on the boundaries, pace and expectations that led you here. It’s coaching, not therapy or medical care.
The Signs
Is It Burnout?
The World Health Organization describes burnout as the result of chronic workplace stress that hasn’t been successfully managed. It names three signs:
- Exhaustion: feeling drained, with energy that rest doesn’t restore
- Distance: feeling cynical, negative or detached about your work
- Getting less done: working as hard or harder, with less to show for it
The WHO term is specific to work. Many people describe the same kind of exhaustion from caregiving, parenting or carrying a household, and coaching can help with that too. More on the signs in burnout symptoms and recovery.
What We Work On
Recover First, Then Rebuild
Burnout isn’t a time-management problem. It’s what happens when the load stays high and recovery never comes. So coaching works on both.
Rest that actually restores
Building recovery into your week, not saving it for vacation. Practices like non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) bring your body into deep rest in 10 to 30 minutes.
Getting out of high alert
Tools for regulating your nervous system, so you can switch off at the end of the day instead of running on adrenaline.
Boundaries and pace
Where your energy is going, what you can say no to, and how to say it without blowing up your job or your relationships.
What matters to you
Reconnecting with the parts of work and life that feel like yours, so you’re not just getting through the week.
Going back, or making a change
A plan for returning to work at a pace you can sustain, or for deciding whether something bigger needs to change.

Coaching or Other Support?
Is Coaching Right for You?
Coaching may fit if
- You’re worn out but still functioning
- You want a plan and someone to keep you honest about it
- You’re heading back to work, or weighing a change
See a doctor or therapist first if
- Low mood lasts most of the day, nearly every day, for two weeks or more
- You’re relying on alcohol or other substances to get through the week
- Exhaustion comes with physical symptoms that worry you
- You’re having thoughts of harming yourself
Burnout can overlap with depression, anxiety and physical health problems such as thyroid issues or low iron, so a check-up is worth it if you’re unsure what’s going on.

Burnout Coaching FAQ
What does a burnout coach do?
A burnout coach helps you recover from long-term stress and change the patterns that led to it. That usually means rest and recovery first, then boundaries, workload and what matters to you. Coaching is practical and focused on the present.
Is burnout a medical condition?
The World Health Organization classifies burnout as an occupational phenomenon, not a medical condition. Its symptoms can overlap with depression, anxiety and physical illness, so if you’re unsure what’s going on, see a doctor.
How long does burnout recovery take?
There’s no set timeline. It depends on how long the stress has been building and what in your life can change. Coaching focuses on steady steps you can keep up, not a quick fix.
Can coaching help if I can’t change my job?
Often, yes. Coaching looks at what is in your control: rest, boundaries, how you respond to pressure and what you ask for. It can also help you plan a change if one is needed.
Is burnout coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is educational support, not therapy, diagnosis or medical care. If burnout has turned into depression or anxiety that’s affecting your daily life, a licensed professional is the right first step, and coaching can sit alongside that care.
Can we work in Spanish?
Yes. Sessions are online, worldwide, in English or Spanish.
