What does a mental health coach do?

A mental health coach helps you build practical skills for stress, anxiety, burnout and change. Rosie’s coaching is mindfulness-based: you learn to calm your nervous system, notice your patterns and make clearer decisions. It’s educational support, not therapy or diagnosis, and it works alongside care from a licensed professional.

Rosie Acosta, mindfulness teacher at Headspace, mental health coach, author, and speaker.

Rosie Acosta offers mindfulness-based coaching for anxiety, burnout, emotional resilience, personal growth, and life transitions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching Questions

What is mindfulness coaching?

Mindfulness coaching uses awareness practices, reflection, breathwork, and practical tools to help you relate differently to stress, emotions, patterns, and transitions.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is not therapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, or crisis care. It can be a supportive space for personal growth, emotional resilience, and mindfulness practice, but it does not replace care from a licensed mental health or medical provider.

Can coaching help with anxiety?

Coaching can help you build practices for noticing anxious patterns, calming the nervous system, and relating to anxious thoughts with more space and compassion. If anxiety is severe, ongoing, or interfering with daily safety and functioning, therapy or medical support may also be important.

Can coaching help with burnout?

Yes. Coaching can help you understand burnout patterns, rebuild sustainable rhythms, practice boundaries, and reconnect with what feels meaningful and restorative.

Do I need meditation experience?

No. You do not need a meditation background. Rosie can meet you where you are and offer simple practices that fit into daily life.

What happens on a discovery call?

The discovery call is a short conversation to understand what you are looking for, answer your questions, and determine whether private coaching is a good fit.

Is coaching virtual?

Yes. Private coaching can be offered virtually.

How do I know if Rosie is the right fit?

The best first step is a discovery call. You can share what you are moving through, ask questions, and get a sense of whether Rosie's approach feels supportive for this season of your life.

Can coaching help with perimenopause or menopause symptoms?

Coaching does not treat hormonal change — that is a conversation for your doctor. What it can help with is the part that lands emotionally: the anxiety, the anger that seems to come from nowhere, the sleep loss, and the feeling of not quite recognising yourself. Rosie works with this specifically, and there is a dedicated page for it.

Is this different from Rosie’s perimenopause coaching?

Same coach, same approach, different focus. This page is the general entry point for anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. If hormonal change is the main thing you are moving through, perimenopause and menopause coaching is the better fit.

Does Rosie coach men?

Yes. Rosie works with women and men, and talks about stress, anger and pressure plainly.

Can we work in Spanish?

Yes. Sessions are available in English and Spanish, online, worldwide.

How much does coaching cost?
